Privacy Policy
Last updated 6 October 2026Who we are
TicketScope.net Ltd (company number 17179274), registered office 71–75 Shelton Street, London WC2H 9JQ, operates ticketscope.net and is responsible for your personal data. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
Depending on how you use the site, we may collect:
- Order details: name, email, and payment information when you buy a ticket. Payment card details are handled entirely by PayPal, our payment processor, so we never see or store your full card number.
- Enquiry details: name, email, and phone number if you register interest in an event or send us an enquiry.
- Email list signup: your email address and, optionally, your first name, as described in "Our email list" below.
- Basic usage data: standard website analytics (pages visited, general location by country/region), used to understand how the site is used.
How we use it
- To process and fulfil your ticket order
- To respond to enquiries about events
- To send you marketing emails, only if you've actively subscribed. You can unsubscribe at any time
- To improve the site based on how it's actually used
We use your order details to fulfil your contract with us, and enquiry details to reply to you, as part of our legitimate interest in running our business. We use the email list only with your consent.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of third-party services to run TicketScope, each of whom processes data on our behalf:
- PayPal: payment processing
- Google (Google Sheets): order and enquiry record-keeping
- Netlify: website hosting, forms, and our database through Netlify
- Neon: database
- Namecheap Private Email: business email
- Resend: sending our website's automatic emails
- Plausible: website analytics
We do not sell your personal data to anyone.
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on the safeguards in their data processing terms.
How long we keep it
Order records are kept for 6 years, in line with UK accounting and tax requirements. Enquiries that don't lead to working together are deleted 12 months after our last contact. Our email list: kept until you unsubscribe, as described in "Our email list" below.
Our email list
If you join our email list, we collect your email address and, if you choose to give it, your first name. We also record that you confirmed you're 18 or over, when you signed up, how you found us (for example, Instagram), and the wording you agreed to.
We use your email address only to send you news about events on TicketScope. We'll only send these emails if you ask us to, by ticking the box when you sign up. We then send you a welcome email, and every email has an unsubscribe link. If you've unsubscribed before and want to rejoin, we'll email you a link to confirm first. Our lawful basis is your consent.
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any of our list emails, or by emailing sales@ticketscope.net. We stop emailing you straight away. Your sign-up details are deleted within 30 days, after which we keep only a scrambled (non-readable) record of your email address, so we never email you again by mistake.
If we ask you to confirm by email (for example, if you rejoin after unsubscribing) and you don't, we delete that sign-up within 30 days.
Joining the list is separate from buying tickets. You'll still get order and ticket emails when you buy, whether or not you join.
Your sign-up is stored in our database (Neon Postgres, provided through Netlify), and list emails are sent through Resend. We don't sell your details or share them with promoters.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data, and to object to or restrict how it's used. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at sales@ticketscope.net. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) if you're unhappy with how we've handled your data.
Cookies
We use Plausible Analytics to understand how the site is used. Plausible is cookie-free and doesn't track you individually across sites, so no cookie consent banner is required for this.
